Previous Class Offerings

Argyle Felted Purse Class:  Class cost: $25 plus materials.   Taught by designer, Debbie Barisa.  Requirements: Must have completed any Entrelac project.  Class size is limited. 

Materials needed:

• Debbie's pattern
• 5 skeins of Galway Wool
• 1 skein of Gold Rush
• 15 yards 1/8" polyester ribbon
• size 8 (24 inch) circular needles
• size 8 double pointed needles
• tapestry needle
• stitch marker

Baby Sock Class:   Class cost: $15 plus materials.  Instructor: Gina.  Learn all sock techniques with these mini socks.

Materials needed:

• size 3 double pointed needles (dpns)
• sport weight yarn

Beginner's Crochet Felted Purse Class:   Class cost: $30 plus materials.  Instructor: Ruth.  Learn to chain, single crochet, assemble bag, and felt.

Materials needed:

• 2 skeins of Galway or other feltable yarn
• size H crochet hook

Beginner's Knitted Felted Purse Class:  Class cost: $45 plus materials.  Instructor: Leni.  Learn to make an I-cord, pick up stitches, introduce color into your project, and knit in the round.

Materials needed:

• 2-3 skeins of Galway Wool (main color)
• 1 skein (contrasting color) of Galway Wool
• size 10 1/2 circular needles (29" length)
• size 10 1/2 single point 10" needles
• size 10 1/2 double point needles
• marker
• tapestry needle

Important:  Please cast on (using main color) 36 stitches on your single point needles.  Knit 50 rows of garter stitch (knit every row) before the first class!

Class 1: Learn to pick up stitches on the cast on edge and the sides, knit in the round, and introduce color.

Class 2: Learn to make an I-cord and continue working on changing colors.

Class 3: Knit the reinforced top band and ready the bag for felting.  Receive directions for the felting process and attaching the strap.

Bubble Bag Class: Class cost: TBA.  Instructor: Mary.

• 2 skeins Noro silk Garden to coordinate w/ Main color

Cabled Pillow Class: Class cost: $35 plus materials.  Instructor: Leni.  Make a 16" cabled pillow - a heirloom for your home learning the cable technique, bobbles,  buttonhole placement and technique. Pattern is included with cost of class. Click for photo.

• 6 skeins of Harmony by Fiber Trend Yarns
• stitch markers
• 3 buttons
• 16" x 16" pillow form
• Matching Material to cover the pillow form

Cable Raglan Pullover Sweater Class:  Class cost: $45 plus materials.  Instructor: Gina.  Learn to read a pattern, finish seams, cable stitch, and raglan shaping.

Materials needed:

• Plymouth pattern #P186
• 6-9 skeins (depends on size) of Galway or Encore yarn
• size 7 and 8 needles
• cable needle

• 3 stitch holders

Crocheted Sweater Class:  Class cost:  $40 plus materials.  Instructor: Ruth.  

Materials needed:

• Crocheted Aran Sweaters Book
• 7-10 skeins (depends on size) of Galway or Encore yarn
• crochet hook
• 2 stitch markers

Darling Felted Tote: Class cost:  $25 plus materials.  Instructor: Mary.

Materials needed:

• 4 skeins of Darling Yarn
• 2 skeins of coordinating Brown Sheep or Galway worsted weight
• size 13 circular needles 24''
• pattern will be circulated at class

Easy "First" Shell:  Class cost: $40 plus materials.  Instructor: Patty.  Must know how to knit and purl.

Materials needed:

• Book 2: The Purl Stitch
• Medium weight yarn (Zen, Zodiac, Duet, etc.) or bulky weight yarn (Cabana, Patagonia, etc.)
• Size 8 or 9 needles, including circular needles - depends on yarn preference and gauge.

Entrelac Felted Purse Class: Class Cost: $45.  Instructor: Debbie Barisa.  Requirements: Must be able to knit, purl, cast on and pick up stitches.  Class size is limited.

Felted Christmas Ornaments: Class Cost: $20.  Instructor: Gina & Ruth.  Make cute little ornaments for your tree or as Christmas gift embellishments.

• Kit including pattern - cost included in price of class.

Felted Maryanne's:   Class cost: $35 plus materials.  Instructor: Leni.

Materials needed:

• Fiber Trends Pattern AC-14
• 2-3 skeins Nature Wool or Galway
• 3 contrasting colors of Galway (small portion of each skein)
• Size 10 1/2 circular needles 24"
• 3 stitch markers

Felted Moebius Basket: Class cost:  $35 plus materials.  Instructor: Leni.    Learn: Moebius cast on, make an applied I-cord, pick up stitches using waste yarn, knit in the round, work on 4 double pointed needles, and to felt.

• A Second Treasury of Magical Knitting by Cat Bordhi
• size 11 Addi Turbo 47" circular needles*
• size 11 (any brand) 16" circular needles
• size 11 double point needles

Hooded Jacket:   Cost: $40 plus materials.  Instructor: Ruth.  You will learn to make an easy & warm jacket for the Autumn season using only  basic knitting and crocheting.

Knitted From the Neck-down Cardigan:  Class cost: $60 plus materials.    Instructor: Leni.   Learn: to knit a sweater with absolutely NO seams from the Neck down and make minor adjustments in design.

Materials needed:

• Size 17  29" circular Needles
• size 15  24" Circular Needles
• Size 15 and Size 17 Double Point Needles

Knitted Lace Class:  Class cost: $15 plus supplies.  Instructor: Gina.  Lace is knitted on size 1 or 2 double pointed needles using lace weight yarn.  The knitted panels are inserted into pillowcases.  the pillowcases will make wonderful gifts for wedding showers, anniversaries,.... Panels can also be knitted in other yarns and added to throw pillows as an embellishment.

• set of double pointed needles size 1 or 2
• 1 skein of Pastimes (soy silk)

Lady Bug Purse: Class cost: TBA.  Instructor: Mary.

• 1 skein Brown Sheep OR Galway yarn: color of your choice.  [Sample knitted in bright red galway.]
• Black Yarn, Accent Yarn, & Plastic Beads: all which will be supplied at time of class

Loop Stitch Boa:  Class cost: $10 plus materials.  Instructor:  Mary.

Noch Eros Shawl:  Class cost: $25 plus materials.  Instructor:  Mary.

Socks on Double Point Needles: Class Cost: $30 plus materials.  Instructor: Gina.  Learn the basics for knitted socks, work with 5 double point needles, turn a heel and the Kitchner's Stitch.

• 1 skein of sock Yarn

• Set of size 1 or 2 Double Point needles

Socks on Two Circulars:  Class cost:  $30 plus materials.  Instructor:  Gina.

• 2 circular needles of different length - size 1 or 2
• 1 ball of 100 grams sock yarn

Three Week Beginner's Class: Class Cost:  $45.  Instructor:  Patty.  Learn how to cast on, bind off, increase, decrease, yarn over, and cable stitch.  Also ther will be lots of extra tidbits to learnsuch as how gauge works, how to pick yarn, how to care for yarn,...  Minimum Number of Registrants:  3.
